California has set a high standard for it's tax preparers.  "According to California law anyone who prepares tax returns for a fee in California and is not an attorney, certified public accountant (CPA), or an enrolled agent (EA), MUST register as a tax preparer with California Tax Education Council (CTEC).   Each CTEC Registered Tax Preparer is required to complete annual tax education courses and purchase a bond to protect you against fraud."  (This information is from the CTEC brochure.) Tina LeMay is currently regsitered with CTEC and bonded. 

Tina LeMay will be sitting for the EA, Enrolled Agent exam this year.  This is a designation from the Internal Revenue Service.  Tina is a member of the NSA, National Society of Accountants and a member of the Latino Tax Professonals Association, with these memberships she gets the latest tax law information.
